Alexandria Desiree Bird, a shining star born on July 17, 1985, in Upland, California, passed away on February 28, 2024. She was a beloved daughter, cherished friend, and remarkable athlete whose presence will be deeply missed.
Alexandria attended grade school at St. Joseph's Catholic School in Maumee, Ohio, where her love for basketball ignited in the 3rd grade. This passion blossomed throughout her high school years at Springfield High School in Holland, Ohio, where she graduated and earned a full scholarship to Siena Heights University in Adrian, Michigan, for her exceptional talent on the basketball court.
Beyond her athletic skills, Alexandria was known for her kind heart and infectious sense of humor. She touched the lives of many with her warmth and compassion.
Alexandria is survived by her loving mother, Victoria Langenderfer Bird, and remembered fondly by countless friends and loving family members. She is preceded in death by her beloved big brother, Cameron Bird, who loved and adored her since birth. Now, they are reunited once again.
Victoria Langenderfer Bird invites all family and friends to join her in celebrating Alexandria's life at a memorial service and luncheon. The service will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Providence Lutheran Church, located at 8131 Airport Hwy, Holland, Ohio 43528, with a luncheon immediately following.
Though Alexandria may no longer be with us in person, her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew her. May her memory be a source of comfort to those who were fortunate enough to have shared in her journey.
