Alice Ross passed away, Tuesday, April 9, 2024, surrounded by her family. Alice was born July 18, 1947, to Robert and Antoinette Liggett. A lifelong resident of West Toledo, Alice attended Blessed Sacrament grade school and was a graduate of Start High School.
Alice was the owner operator of Alexia’s Boutique of Fine Wigs & Hairpieces for 40 years. For many years Alice bred purebred Shih Tzus and Newfoundlands. She was a great cook and Christmas will never be the same without her fantastic Christmas cookies. Alice loved to shop, watch movies, take trips, and especially enjoyed her numerous camping trips. Her favorite thing in the entire world was spending time with her family.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved daughter Corey Ross Holbrook and sister-in-law Darla Liggett. Left to cherish her memory are her siblings, Robert Liggett Jr., Alberta Hunt and Amy Szalkowski (Terry); her grandchildren Max Holbrook, Taylor Holbrook (Brandon Holly) and Logan Holbrook; and the love of Alice’s life, her great granddaughter, Karter; numerous nieces and nephews; and her special teacup Yorkie, “Slade”.
The family gratefully acknowledges the wonderful care Alice received from the staff of Adult ICU at ProMedica Toledo Hospital.
Per Alice’s wishes, services will be private. Tributes may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
God saw you getting tired,
When a cure was not to be.
So, He wrapped his arms around you,
and whispered, “Come to me”.
You didn’t deserve what you went through,
So, He gave you rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful,
He only takes the best.
