David Leroy Rump

David Leroy Rump was born on February 24, 1959, in Toledo, Ohio, to Leroy and Jean (Allen) Rump. David passed away at home on June 22, 2023, in Perrysburg, Ohio. David graduated from Swanton High School/Penta Co Vocational in 1977. After graduation, David enlisted in The United States Army as a tank mechanic. After David's time in the Army, he went to work at the family's tow yard. David has had many mechanical jobs in his lifetime including being a tow truck driver, Repo man, and auto and boat mechanic. If it had a motor, David was working on it. His last job being a truck/box mechanic at Omnisource in Toledo, Ohio.

David is survived by his children Kelly (Doug) Sampson and T.J. (Brandi) Davis; his grandchildren Bayleyi Sampson, Mikki Sampson, Zachary Sampson, Kale Davis and Charlie Gilmore; his great-grandchildren Asher Sampson and Kamrin Cathey; brothers and sisters: Shirley, Jerry Wendy) Rump, Larry (Pam) Rump, Annie (Paul) Leonard, Debbie (Bob) Krist, Christine (Jim) Emahiser, Rory Watkins and many special nieces, nephews and friends. David is preceded in death by both parents and his sister, Cheryl Clark.

A Celebration of Life will be held later, once we get all our ducks in a row!
