Doug was born in Defiance, OH in 1959 to parents Albert Ehlinger Sr and Doris (Miller) Elingher. Doug lived in several parts of Missourt for 20-30 years before coming back to Ohio, where he worked for a buffing and floor waxing company as an assistant manager, until he had 3 strokes and had to retire.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by 3 siblings: Victoria Brace, Albert (Kathleen) Ehlinger Jr, and Kristina Coffey.
