Edith Marie (Wood) Bumpus

Edith Marie Bumpus (Wood) passed away surrounded by her daughters and grandchildren, on Monday January 31st 2022 while in hospice care at The Divine of Toledo Ohio. She was born to Fred and Edith (Hance) Wood in Blair Ohio on November 19th 1948. She worked a variety of different jobs thru her many wonderful years on this earth, but nothing as important as being a mother and a grandmother, and a truly great one.

Edith was a kind and caring soul who will be very greatly missed by her siblings Theodosia Duncan (Larry Stapleton) and Fred Jr "Butch" (Eilene) Woods. Her children Jessica (Ramon Sr.) Rodgers, Nicki Byrd, Mark Watkins, and Fred Bumpus. As well as her grandchildren Ramon Jr. (Jesi) Rodgers, Brian (Francesca) Rodgers, Nicki (Kenny) Ballard, Jonathan Johnson, Deon Parker, Ryan Lumbart, Samantha Watkins, Alex and Jazzmin Singleton, Dominique (Wesley) Byers, and Denae, Danielle, and Donavan Bumpus. And most importantly in her eyes, her great grandchildren Ja'Neah, Tiana, Samariah, Malcalm, Malachi, Xzavion, Odin, Aniya, Cornell, Raiden, Gideon, Merida, and Malik.

Edith will be welcomed in the beyond by her parents Fred Sr. and Edith (Hance) Wood, her sister Bonnie Calhoun, and her great-grand-babies Jonathan Jr. and Lisa Suzann.

The family will be holding an open memorial service for any who wish to say their final goodbyes on Sunday February 20th 2022 from 1-5pm at the Knight's of Columbus hall located at 4256 Secor Road in Toledo.
