Henry “Hank” James Zywiczynski, age 86, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 25, 2021. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, husband, brother, and uncle. He was born on April 7, 1935 to Mary and Frank Zywiczynski in Toledo, Ohio. Henry worked as a millwright for Libbey-Owens-Ford for 30 years, retiring in 1991. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and family, and spending time in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. He was truly loved by all and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, his brothers Frank Zywiczynski, Norman Zahn, and his sister Theresa Thornton. He survived by his three children, Debbie (Mike) Bruner of Naperville, IL, Mike (Laurie) Zywiczynski of Dorr, MI, and Mark Zywiczynski of Holland, OH. Also survived by his grandchildren, Jennifer (Kevin) Sobocinski, Carolyn (Brian) Mulholland, Sarah Zywiczynski, Rachel Zywiczynski, and great-grandchildren Cameron Sobocinski, Olivia Sobocinski, Evelyn Mulholland, Eleanora Sobocinski, Henry Mulholland and Baby Mulholland (Oct 11, 2021).
A celebration of Henry’s life will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in late November. His final resting place is Resurrection Cemetery. Please consider donating in his name to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society for expression of sympathy for his remembrance.
