Joseph E Jaques

Joseph E. Jaques Sr, age 82, of Holland, Ohio, passed peacefully at home surrounded by family. Born in Toledo, Ohio, on September 30, 1939, to the late Robert Jaques & Iva Santmire.
"Joe" is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Jaques & Iva Santmire, his spouse Albany M. (Anderson) Jaques of what would have been 60 years this March, step-daughter Leslie Grohowski, grandson Jason Kimbler and great-grandson Javin Jaques.
He is survived by his children: Joseph E. Jaques II (Willa), Jo Ann Jaques, Cathy McLargin-Wylie (Richard), all of Holland, Ohio. Step-daughters: Norma Rothamel and Doreen Kimbler (John) of Columbus, Ohio. Grandchildren: Zoie, Joseph III, Victoria, Albany, Vallencia, Elliott, Andrew, Elizabeth, Mourice, Shane, Autumn, Jeffrey, Allison, Corey, Brandon, Jamar, Marcus and Jennifer along with 24 great-grandchildren and numerous other dear family members and friends.
He was part of the fabric of Spencer Township for the last five decades. In the early years along with his wife starting a Dry Goods store and automotive shop, he was somewhat of a "jack-of-all trades". It was a place where neighbors could go knowing they would get a job done for a fair price and maybe a story or two on the side. He had the ability to listen to an engine run and give you a personal diagnosis on the spot! He dabbled a bit in raising livestock and loved to fish and we can't forget his dogs he always had by his side. He will be missed by family, friends and many neighbors.
