Robert "Bob" C Treat

Bob passed from this world to his heavenly home on July 6, 2021. He was born on October 5, 1957 to Robert and Constance (Loock) Treat in Junction City, Kansas.  The family moved to Farmington, Michigan and later to Northville, Michigan. After high school, Bob served his country and was honorably discharged from the Army in 1978.   Bob went to college at Eastern Michigan University and later went on to Law School at the University of Toledo where he received his Juris Doctor degree in 2002.  He married Joyce Luebke on Dec. 27, 1991.  He built a successful business, QDRO Express, and was well respected in the Family Law community throughout Michigan.  He received several awards for his Pro Bono work.
Bob loved nature and the out of doors, especially Lake Michigan.  Bob and Joyce spent many wonderful hours exploring the western coast of Michigan. He loved camping in the motorhome that he lovingly maintained.  He restored an historic log cabin on Lake Erie at Long Beach, Oak Harbor, Ohio.  There he enjoyed many hours being by the water and entertaining family and friends.   He was an avid Michigan football fan and also loved watching the Detroit Tigers.   
He is survived by his wife, Joyce;  mother, Constance Treat; and sisters, Lauren Treat and Penelope Treat.  He will also be fondly remembered by many cousins, aunts, nieces, and nephews.  Bob and Joyce were blessed to be the Godparents of Ashley (Mauder) Zimmerman and Erica Mauder.  A very special thank you to Joyce’s sister, Kathleen Giesler, whose love and support were very much appreciated during this difficult past year.  Bob was predeceased by his father, Robert C. Treat, Sr.
Bob had a generous spirit and a kind heart.  He loved the Lord in a very personal way, and that blessed assurance of everlasting peace and joy gave him much comfort during his final months. 

The family would like to extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation for all the loving care provided to Bob by Ohio Living Hospice.
Bob chose to be cremated and there will be no services at this time.   A memorial service is being planned around his birthday in October.
