William Vierk Obituary

William J. Vierk, age 70, of Erie, passed away June 16,2021, at home, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born March 7, 1951, in Wyandotte, MI, and grew up in Romulus, MI.  Bill raised his children in Rockwood, MI, before spending his final years in Erie.

Bill was a very helpful person, always willing to lend a hand, dollar, or extend a place to sleep, when needed.  He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren immeasurably.  Just seeing them made him smile ear to ear.  Family was always most important to him.  He enjoyed nothing more than relaxing in his yard, drinking a beer, in front of a fire.  Bill also loved his bird, Mojo, and his Chihuahua, Squirrel, who was by his side until the end.  He also liked fishing, old cars, old buildings and he was a master welder.

Bill married the love of his life, Elizabeth, on March 2, 1979, in Romulus.  She survives him along with children: Michelle (Mike) Landis, Shannon (Jason) Reaume and James Vierk (Nicole Church, girlfriend).  Also surviving are his grandchildren: Sara, Scott, Sam, Ricky, Chassity, Rachel, MJ, Preston, Landon, and Trent; great-grandchildren: Axel, Eli, and Viola and siblings: Sharon, Karen, and Donna.  Bill was preceded in death by his parents and siblings George and Denise.

A Celebration of Bill's Life will be held on July 31st, 3:00 pm, at his home.
